Hobbies & Interests Steven enjoys reading classical literature, such as the musketeers and Sherlock Holmes. He also enjoys shooting, engaging regularly in a clay pigeon shooting program on the holodeck. On top of this, he is a skilled cook, having been taught by his father.

Personal History Steven was born onboard the USS Bismarck in 2369 to the ship's First Officer, Commander Juliana Jenkins, and her husband, Paul, the ship's chef. The younger of two boys, Steven spent the first few years of his life living aboard the Bismarck with both his parents.

However, with the outbreak of the Dominion War in 2373, Steven and his Brother were sent with their father to live with their grandparents in London on Earth, where they would reside for the next two years, not seeing their mother outside of communications in that time. During that duration, the Captain of the Bismarck was killed and his mother was promoted to Captain of the ship.

Following the war, Juliana took a job in the Sol system, serving as the Starfleet co-ordinator at Utopia Planitia in order to be closer to home. At this time, Steven and the rest of the family went to live with her on Mars. They lived here for the next ten years, during which time Steven's brother went off to Starfleet Academy as an Engineering cadet. When Steven turned 16, there was no question as to his path, and he entered the Academy as a Tactical cadet. Then, a year in, Utopia Planitia was attacked by the Synthetics on site. The family panicked, before finally getting word that his Mother was safe due to being on one of the ships that was on shakedown that day.

The remainder of Steven's academic career was uneventful; he joined the literature society and debate society, wanting to become a balanced Officer and not just one who was a shooter. However, this didn't stop him from developing an interest in antique firearms when introduced to them by his Academy room mate's father during a dinner he was invited to.

In 2389, Steven graduated the Academy with honours in the 91st Percentile. He was hoping for assignment to the Academy itself as a junior tutor, but instead found himself assigned to the USS Centaur as a Brig Officer. This was a kick in the teeth for Steven, who fancied himself a scholar and was left watching a mostly empty cell most of the time.

Nonetheless, he served in this role for three years, earning a promotion to Lieutenant Jg in 2391, before transferring to the Luna-Class USS Charon in 2392 as her new Chief Security and Tactical Officer. A year later, he was promoted to full Lieutenant, serving on the Charon for three years after that before transferring to the Inquiry class USS Inquiry as her new Chief Security and Tactical Officer, as well as Second Officer. Three years into this posting, he was promoted to Lieutenant Commander and re-assigned to serve as Executive Officer of the Inquiry. Shortly after this, the Inquiry was part of a large Starfleet battle fleet sent to defend the planet Coppelius from Romulan invasion.

A year later, Steven was re-assigned to the USS Yorktown, a brand new Neo-Constitution Class Starship and third ship to bare the name. He served as the ship's XO for a year, up until Frontier Day 2401. Due to a malfunction with the ship's warp drive, it was not able to reach the Sol System in time for the celebrations, but nonetheless, it was subject to the signal from the Borg which caused the autonomous assimilation of the younger crew members. The resulting conflict on the ship resulted in the deaths of many, including the ship's Captain, who died as Steven attempted a battlefield triage.

Following the Frontier day incident, Steven was promoted two steps in rank and given Command of the Yorktown along with orders to proceed to Starbase one for repair and refit, as well as removal of the new Borg co-opted systems. A year later, the Yorktown was finally ready to depart under her new Captain which is where our story really begins.
